ACADEMICS
Mundo Verde received an official notification from OSSE approving the waiver requested regarding the two days school closures in January due to snow. The “situational distance learning days” will no longer be needed.
The last day of school will continue to be June 14, as originally announced. Please keep in mind that Student Led Conferences and Parent Teacher Conferences are also scheduled for Monday, June 17, 2024.
Thank you to everyone who joined and explored ¿How do buildings and communities form over time? PreK students and teachers enjoyed seeing families and friends learning from their discoveries.
Celebrations of learning are more than a display of student work. The events compel students to reflect on and articulate what they have learned, how they learned, questions they answered, research they conducted, and areas of strength and struggles. They are powerful opportunities to make learning public.
Find below the expos dates and times. Please look forward to hearing more details from your child´s teacher.

Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC) in PreK are one-on-one conferences not including students, where teachers share individualized evidence of current strengths and needs. Its purpose is to build strong home to school partnership for academic and social success; and share data on academics and social emotional learning.
PTC will take place on June 12 (afternoon only) and June 17 (all day).
Kinder to 2nd Grades
In the upcoming two weeks, students from Kinder through 2nd grade will take the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), which measures their growth and proficiency in Math, English, and Spanish.
Instructional staff uses this as one data point to help inform instruction for all students. Click on the images to enlarge them.

Please also see the description in English and Spanish of what is involved in serving as a community board member for your school.
Please be sure to send in your nominations by no later than June 3.
