All students are expected to come to school dressed in a Mundo Verde t-shirt or sweatshirt as their school uniform. Mundo Verde requires a school uniform for many reasons. Uniforms build community, show pride in one’s appearance, are economical for parents, and lessen peer and social pressure to buy clothing that represents the latest fashion trend. Uniformity also has tremendous safety benefits. School uniforms are invaluable since we leave school grounds daily for recess and fieldwork activities because they allow teachers and volunteers to quickly identify Mundo Verde students among a larger group
How to buy t-shirts in the infinite campus school store
Although what we look like and what we wear doesn’t tell us about who we are inside, school spirit is something to celebrate. Show that you are part of the Mundo Verde community and show-off our rainbow of school colors!

Note: If you qualify for Free or Reduced Meals (FARM), the price will reflect at check-out.
Please note, a current FARM status will be required to purchase t-shirts. OJO: your 2021-2022 FARM status expires on September 28, 2022. Families are required to apply for FARM every school year. Eligible families for FARM received Free and Reduced lunch; however, if the application is not received by the end of the current status, their status will be changed from FREE/REDUCE to PAY
Used Uniform Shirts Collection

Did you know that every year the textile industry uses 1.3 trillion gallons of water to dye clothing? Most of this water, mixed with harmful chemicals from the dye process, flows into rivers and streams, contaminating waterways. Let's work together to reduce the need for more shirts by sharing uniforms!
In an effort to be more sustainable, the school will begin collecting used Mundo Verde uniforms from students to wash over the summer and have them available in August. If you have uniforms you no longer wear or want, please drop them off at the front desk on Tuesday, June 13 - the same day as Field Day!

Getting uniforms right before the school year starts is always a hassle.
This year, parents and caregivers are encouraged to consider placing uniform orders today from the school store. Orders will be accepted until June 30 to help ease the demand throughout the summer.
Important Updates About Purchasing Uniforms
In order to better manage inventory, and ensure that our front desk team is fully available to support families and school staff with immediate needs, beginning this week, we will be transitioning t-shirt uniform sales to be exclusively available through the online store via Infinite Campus. As we are consolidating the majority of our inventory in the warehouse, T-shirt sales will no longer be available for purchase at the front desk.
We will continue to pair important school events with free shirt opportunities (e.g. Teacher Parent conferences). Families that are having trouble with the online store or that have a financial hardship should still feel free to request support from the front desk team!

Remember to Bring a Reusable Water Bottle to School
As an award-winning green school, one of our goals is to reduce or eliminate the use of single-use disposable plastics, including water bottles. Please help your child/ren become young stewards of our earth and remind them to bring reusable water bottles to school every day. If your family needs support purchasing these reusable bottles Mundo Verde will happily provide your child with his/her personal and reusable water bottle.
