COMMUNICATIONS, INFORMATION & QUESTIONS

Enhancing School-Families Communications
Activate Your ParentSquare Account Now!

All families should have received an email on September 20 to activate their ParentSquare account. If you have not done it yet, please do so. Some teachers have started sending updates from their classes to families. Don’t miss them!

Click here to read everything you need to know to GET STARTED WITH PARENTSQUARE (inglés / español) from activating your account to training resources, tips, and support.

Our team wants to acknowledge that while everyone (teachers, staff, parents, caregivers) is likely eager to use ParentSquare, we are also all learning how to use it. The team is testing the system. Let us know if you need support!

Spanish and English Academic Volunteers

Volunteer parents and caregivers are crucial collaborators in creating and maintaining a school community that is welcoming, diverse, and inclusive of all; and serve as catalysts for the success not only of their child, but of each and every student in the school, and with this, the success of our school as a whole!

This year, we are excited to open our classrooms to receive support from volunteer Spanish/English Academic Helpers! Academic Helpers are volunteer parents/caregivers that support students during the Personalized Learning Time (PLT) block.

If you are interested, please fill out this form. Feel free to reach out to your campus principal with any questions.

Note: Criteria and eligibility details are being finalized and will be shared soon.

School Resources Available in the Families Portal

Our goal is for all families to be prepared for the school year. Please visit the Families Portal (password: crew) to find information such as school services, school communications, health and safety, family engagement, school calendar, policies & handbooks, and directories & forms.

NEW! Childhood Vaccination Clinics Beginning October 3

DC Health announced that from October 3 through November 18, it will offer childhood vaccination clinics at five locations around the city. The clinics are designed to ensure that any child who is excluded from school because that child is still noncompliant with the District’s school vaccination policy can receive a vaccination and return to school.

Parents whose children are still not up-to-date on their required vaccinations should first contact their regular pediatric provider to schedule an appointment for vaccinations. If parents do not have a regular pediatric provider or are unable to schedule an appointment with that provider, they can call Children’s National Hospital at 1-800-884-BEAR (1-800-884-2327) and request to schedule an appointment for general pediatrics as soon as possible.

High-Capacity Clinics

The clinics will operate Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. Additional evening and weekend hours will also be available on select dates and at select locations. Click here to read the full announcement.
